Homeless with a house

I got a notice in the mail the other day. The owners of the park where I live hope to sell it by summer. According to the letter I received, they would prefer to sell it to us, the residents, so we can make it into a co-op. I have no idea what this would do to my lot rent, raise it or lower it. I don’t really understand any of this, really. Is a co-op going to be good or bad?

What happens if the co-op deal doesn’t go through? The park could then possibly be sold to some developer who wants to put up the world’s largest Taco Cabana®, in which case all of us would have to pack up our houses and move them somewhere else. I’m betting it’s not cheap to move a house, let alone find a place to put it. It’s just one more thing to weigh on my mind. Don’t I have enough to worry about already, with trying to find a job and come up with lot rent in less than two weeks in this economy?

I really wish I knew what I’ve done to deserve all the crap that’s been going on in my life the past couple of years. I really, really wish I knew.
