Refreshing
Wow.
Been a while, hasn’t it?
I’ve been thinking about this for a day or two. I have to fling something across the page a bit more often so it doesn’t look like I’ve abandoned it altogether. Trouble is, there isn’t much going on these days except work.
There have been some changes at work over the past week, some of which are even good. My route has changed, which I like a LOT. I no longer have any stores to deal with. I’m strictly a home-delivery kinda guy. This actually makes work a little more fun than it has been for a long time. I no longer have stores on my route, and as a result, I no longer have to pick up tons of unsold papers every day. I love this.
Along with losing my stores, I’ve also picked up two more newspapers to deliver to my customers. The Minneapolis Star Tribune, and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. This is also cool, as it gives me a variety of newspapers to read every day; on the off chance I ever decide to actually look at a newspaper. I’m still a bit iffy on that choice though, particularly after reading Sunday’s front page headline in the Pioneer Press: “Barack Obama is black.” I may not be up on current events the way I should be, but this doesn’t exactly strike me as ‘hard-hitting’ journalism.
Today is a veg-out day for me. Once I have this posted, I’m either going to catch up on some recorded TV in which I’m very behind, or play some video games for old times sake. Either way, it’s going to be a good day for me, provided I don’t fall asleep too often in the big chair.
You’d think after going this long without an entry I’d have something more interesting to write about, but this is it folks. Normally I wouldn’t even bother putting this one up but it’s been so long I need to do something. Maybe the next one will have some actual substance.
